Synopsis[]
Florida needs a vacation, badly, and the kids decide to sell underwear to get the money to send her to Lake Geneva.
Storyline[]
Florida is in a terrible mood, and takes it out on the kids by yelling at them to do chores. A cheerful Willona stops in and makes the announcement that she is off for a relaxing weekend in Lake Geneva. After hearing this, the kids go into the underwear selling business in order to raise enough money to send Florida on a much needed vacation to Lake Geneva.
Plot summary[]
Florida (Esther Rolle) has been out of sorts of late, and her kids figure that what she needs is a long vacation. Unfortunately, a weekend at a Lake Geneva resort costs a lot of money, and money is something the Evans brood doesn't have. This state of affairs explains why J.J. (Jimmie Walker), Thelma (BernNadette Stanis), and Michael (Ralph Carter) are currently in underwear -- that is, the underwear sales business.
Guest starring/Recurring cast[]
- Johnny Brown as Nathan Bookman
