Synopsis[]
J.J. and Florida are not having much luck looking for employment. She comes across a want ad for a school bus driver, but her chances seem slim when Alderman Fred Davis' relative applies for the same job.
Storyline[]
Jobs are scarce for Florida and J.J.. An ad for a school bus driver catches Florida's eye, but she finds it has strings attached for J.J, and the strings are attached to Alderman Davis
Plot summary[]
With both her son J.J. (Jimmie Walker) and her son-in-law, Keith (Ben Powers), unemployed, Florida applies for a part-time job as a bus driver. Alas, the position may go to a relative of Alderman Fred Davis (Albert Reed), with whom the Evans family has clashed in the past. But Davis is willing to help Florida land the job -- if J.J. will agree to design the alderman's campaign posters.
