Florida, the Matchmaker is the eleventh episode of Season 2 and the twenty-forth episode overall. Written by Jack Elinson and Norman Paul, the episode, which was directed by Herbett Kenwith, first aired on CBS-TV, premiering on November 25, 1974.
Synopsis[]
Florida wants Willona to settle down and fixes her up with one of James' friends.
Storyline[]
Florida decides to play matchmaker for her friend and neighbor, Willona. Willona talks of being lonely, so when Florida, James, and Willona attend a wedding, Florida arranges her to go with a date.
Plot summary[]
A wedding has Florida realizing that Willona is the only friend of hers left who is not married. This leads Florida to try her hand at matchmaking, and she matches Willona with Duane, a friend of James'. However, Florida is a little crestfallen, when Duane leaves the wedding early, claiming he does not feel well and she thinks her matchmaking plans have failed, until they arrive the next day at the Evans door, together.
